    Description

Offered here is an 1809  Half Cent, a nice Fine grade coin that is problem free.  This is a O/O or circle within the 0 in the date.    According to the Cohen variety attribution book, I attributed this coin as a Cohen C-4. As to defects, I note an old scratch behind Miss Liberty's head.  As being an old scratch, the coloration makes it blend in very well.  Then, another small scratch near the 1 in the date 1809.  Lastly, a light rim bump as seen at 6 o'clock on the reverse.  Still, the pleasing brown copper surfaces make this coin acceptable to a collector.  If you collect varieties, this one may be for you.
