    Description

    Offered for sale is a double mantle gas lantern which I believe to be a Nulite Model 5MW.  There are no markings on the lantern to identify the manufacturer, but the red valve wheel and umbrella generator are clues to Nulite.  I believe it would be from the 1920's.  I am not very familiar with these, so if you think it's something different, please educate me.
    The tank is clean inside with minimal surface rust.  There are no dents or stress cracks in the fount and I believe the nickel would clean up pretty well.  The main issue is that the pump is missing.  There appears to be a non-return valve of some type in the bottom of the pump tube, but I have not tried to pressurize the tank.  Vent, frame and burner look to be in good condition.  If you have the pump or need these parts to finish another project, it's the perfect lantern for you!
