Fuel Valve Removal Tool made out of low alloy tool steel.
Fits the 220/228 liquid fuel lanterns.
Made and designed from the ground up by me in the USA in my prototype/production shop.
I've been in business many years and have sold hundreds of the check valve removal tool for the Coleman lanterns/stoves with 100% satisfaction as shown in my reviews.  I am now offering this fuel valve removal tool for  the 220 /228 and, in another listing, also for the 200A, along with vises to hold the fount.
Directions for use:
1. Remove nut from generator after disassembling lantern.  Do not drop pricker rod out of generator or bend needle at end!
2. Thread nut from generator back onto fuel air tube assembly
3. Leave cleaning rod nut and cleaning rod for generator installed so that if tool gets sideloaded threads do not become damaged. Do not sideload tool!
4. Loosen the nut that holds the globe cage with a wrench and then spin with fingers on up to top of threads of fuel generator air tube assembly
CAUTION - To prevent scratching on paint or nickel finish on fount, place soft, heavy paper inbetween fount and spacer. Any heavy paper can be installed (business cards, etc) soft side facing fount to prevent scratching.
5. Place tool on fuel air tube assembly with the flat facing the round hole where air tube would thread
6. Do not sideload tool - lefty loosey, righty tighty!
