he lacquer is very respectable and limited to minor dings, dents, and surface scratches. This tuba had very limited use and is in very good condition. All of the slides move freely and the valves are very responsive. The tuba has great compression and has a very powerful sound. You will receive a very nice protective case and a mouthpiece.
