This little tuba is a great horn! I've been a band director for 25 years, and the only times I was playing were community bands and small groups, so I didn't need an orchestral size horn. A good friend was doing some repairs on this one, and he recommended that I try it out. It has a great tone, and a surprisingly open low end for a 3/4 size horn. Every fellow tuba player who has tried it out immediately comments on what a great instrument it is. I'm the second owner. It was being shipped to a repairman friend of mine, and UPS messed up the shipping, doing some decent damage to the bell. My budd y is fantastic at his job, and got it back to a great condition cosmetically. It does have signs of wear... Not only the scars of where the bell got reshaped, but several wear spots and dents in the usual places... Bottom bow, where your hand rests, etc.
It is a 4 valve double c horn. The valves work great, and always have. There are plenty of things to regret in this life, buying this horn at this price will not be one of them. If you were to buy this new, you'd be looking at around ,000. It comes with a hard case that has wheels mounted on the bottom for easier transport. The shipping is a lot...
