:  This beautiful
SUPER CLEAN
78
year old Model 220 Double Mantle White Gasoline Coleman Lantern was produced during
WWII
. Stamped US on the bottom, Dated
August 1943
.
MADE IN THE USA, THE COLEMAN LAMP AND STOVE CO. WICHITA, KAN.
This lantern was completely disassembled and every piece has been cleaned, polished and reassembled. During
WWII
some of the parts which were normally BRASS, were made out of
STEEL
.

he following parts are
STEEL
:
TANK/FOUNT, BURNER ASSEMBLY, BALL NUT, CLEAN OUT NEEDLE LEVER ASSEMBLY, FUEL CAP INSERT, PUMP ASSEMBLY, GENERATOR NUT AND FUEL STEM VALVE NUT.
The tank has been stripped down to bare metal and nicely repainted.
NO
dings, dents or rust! There is some pitting on the fount which has been smoothed out. The paint was then baked at 300 degrees for two hours to assure durability. No dents.. Only a couple of tiny nicks to the ventilator. No rust!
Please take note of the beautiful reproduction decal. This style decal was used on the Coleman Lantern
Models 234 & 235 Kerosene lanterns
, I had these made up for Gasoline models with the correct lighting instructions for Gasoline.
If one choses to do so, they can remove the current decal and apply a yellow label Instruction decal which was originally on the lantern. I just added a custom touch to this one.
This Lantern pumps up and holds pressure. A NEW generator is always recommended for best operating results.
