    Description

    You are view a unique Westmoreland Milk Glass Covered Dish made in pattern called “Old Quilt” with hand painted “Forget-me-nots” which was a short-lived decoration and is not shown in any catalog but it is mentioned in the price guide of the 1963 catalog. Westmoreland called this item “Square Box with Lid” but I would guess it’s a covered candy dish or dresser box. The decoration is made up of blue dots for petals and a yellow dot for the center of the flower with gold trim on lid finial and edges. This piece is listed in Lorraine Kovar’s Westmoreland book as “Scarce” rarity. Both the lid and body have  Westmoreland Glass makers marks. This dish is in excellent used condition with no chips, nicks or cracks it measures approximately 5 ¼” high to top of lid finial with lid on, 3 ½” high to top of body without lid and body is 3 ¾” square.
